And here's the second of my efforts:  The Coco Bag.

Last photo shows my adviser on things baggy, Ho Sam now known as Grey.

Bags of Sewing: The Trish Bag

So here are my first two efforts, these are destined as Christmas presents for friends, who I hope will give up the plastic bag addiction.

Bags of Ideas

100_1568 Reading this post at Dollie Day Dream (Scroll down to Monday 8th October), it occurred to me that not only can old discarded skirts make Aprons, they can also be used to make really nice Tote Bags,  to be used instead of those plastic supermarket/store bags which are choking our world.

So here is my first effort, made from one old skirt and a velvet scarf from the charity shop.

And now I've had a brilliant idea, my Christmas Gifts this year will be Tote Bags.  Better get off the blog and on to the Sewing Machine.

Dashing Away With My Sewing Machine

It began with this.  A skirt that became an apron.
